Aztec Fall Hitting/Pitching Camp

Location: Tony Gwynn Stadium-San Diego

Ages: Open to any and all ages (7-13) and (14-20)

Cost: $275 for 5 session package or $60 per session

Times: Ages 7-13 will go from 5:30 to 6:45 pm *Please arrive early to sign in

Ages 14-20 will go from 7:00-8:15pm *Please arrive early to sign in

Description: Focus of the camp will be on the development of each hitter’s offensive abilities and each pitcher’s mechanics/bullpen routine. A 5-week progression will be focused on each player’s development. Players will be broken down individually and coached through drill work. Players will have the opportunity to receive instruction from the SDSU coaching staff and players.

The camp is every Monday starting on 10/2 and ending on 10/30.

General Information: Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catcher’s, please bring catcher’s gear. Please mark all your equipment; we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Directions: From I-8, take the College Avenue exit and go south. Turn right at Montezuma (second stop light at the top of the hill). Go to the second stop light (55th Street) and turn right. Make an immediate left at the first stop light into the parking structure. For entrance to the stadium, go down to the bottom floor and walk out of the north side. From there, you will see the stadium. Remember to purchase a parking pass from the kiosk on the right when you enter the structure, it’s only $2 per hour. Display the pass on your dashboard.

Congrats to our 2017 Eastlake Little League 11U All Stars! They captured the Southern California State Championship by defeating Upland Foothill the Section 3 champions 11-4. Great season.

10U
The Eastlake 10U All-Stars started off the Section 7 tournament with a tough loss vs the Calexico All-Star team who rallied to come back from an 8 run deficit. Eastlake bounced back and won Game 2 vs Spring Valley Little League. Their next game is Monday, July 10 at 6:30pm vs Rancho San Diego at West Hills Little League in Santee.

11U
The Eastlake 11U All-Stars are undefeated in the Section 7 tournament giving up only 1 run in 2 games. They advance to the Section 7 Championship on Tuesday, July 11 at 7pm at Brawley Little League. Game notes from Coach Mark Wells below.

Sectionals Game 1 vs Brawley
Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars defeated Brawley 13-0 on Saturday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Trevor A induced a groundout from PlayerF to finish off the game.

An early lead helped propel Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars to victory. Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars scored on a walk by Ivan M and a single by Johnny H in the first inning.

Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars captured the lead in the first inning. Ivan drove in a run when he walked with the bases loaded.

Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars scored nine runs in the third inning. Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars ’s big inning was driven by a double by Johnny, a passed ball , a error, a single by Charlie S, a single by Derreck B, a home run by Rafa P, and a wild pitch.

Home runs for Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars came when Noah L homered in the fourth inning and Rafa homered in the third inning.

Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars collected 14 hits. Derreck, Johnny, Charlie, Ivan, and Noah each collected multiple hits for Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars . Rafa, Ivan, and Johnny each drove in two runs to lead Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars . Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Derreck had the most chances in the field with three.

Three Pitchers Combine in No-Hitter as Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars Defeats Lemon Grove

Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars ‘s three pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars defeated Lemon Grove 13-1 on Sunday. Max R struck out PlayerA to get the last out of the game.

Kain C led Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars to victory by driving in four runs. He went 3-for-4 at the plate. Kain drove in runs on a double in the third and a home run in the fourth.

Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars scored five runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a error, a double , and a double by Ivan M.

Home runs for Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars came when Ivan homered in the third inning and Kain homered in the fourth inning.

Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars collected 12 hits. Kain, Ivan, Charlie S, and Noah L each collected multiple hits for Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars . Eastlake LL 11U All-Stars was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Tommy D made the most plays with six.

12U
The Eastlake 12U All-Stars continue to play at a high level. At Spring Valley Little League, they won both of their 1st two match ups in Sectionals with exceptional pitching not giving a run up. In Game 1, Hunter Stencil and Mikey Rocha combined to throw a no-hitter. In game 2 vs Brawley, Chase Taylor gave up only 1 hit in a 4-inning mercy rule game. They will play for the Section 7 Championship on Thursday July 13 at 6:00pm at Spring Valley Little League.

Congrats to 2017 Eastlake Little League Division All-Star team for capturing the District 42 Championship. Our Eastlake All-Stars came out swinging by showing their offensive power defeating Park View Little League 32-1. They advance to the Section 7 Tournament at Spring Valley. First game TBA.
